It has been close to 6 months since the outbreak of this deadly virus CORONA VIRUS.This virus has greatly affected everyone worldwide and no one is safe at all from this virus. Looking at how Kenya,to be specific is struggling to survive this disease,I can say there are positive measures that have been put in place to ensure the safety of all Kenyans. Such measures include; staying at home unless it's necessary to leave, wearing a mask when leaving your home, washing or sanitising your hands, locking down the most affected counties and maintaining social distancing of 1.5m apart. However, the Kenyan government has also failed in other ways. An example is the current situation in Kariobangi,Nairobi county. What is currently going on in that place is so inhuman. Being an orphan is the most painful experience that someone can ever have in life. The pain you experience does not choose how old you are,you could be a child or an adult but it does not matter how old you are or who you are. Loosing both parents is not something that someone can recover from easily. Not all orphans feel loved after the lose of their parents. Only a few are accepted and loved,but sometimes it's just because the relatives have no choice. I can say most orphans are rejected since they have no one to run to. Some relatives even end up accusing them of killing their parents. But sometimes it's never their fault to be orphans. The Standard Gauge Railway,the multi billion project that took a lot of time and money to be put in place. The government of Kenya dedicated their efforts in making sure the project was completed and officially opened. "The modenised metallic snake" as some may call it has brought both positive and negative effects to the Mombasa economy. Different stations have been set up at different stops along the railway to ensure easy access of the railway by its passengers who may prefer railway transport to road transport. It has been close to three months now since the outbreak of this virus,CORONA VIRUS. This virus has left every human being shaken and afraid. Its origin is not yet know to anyone. Many people say that it was created from a laboratory during a laboratory test which we are still not sure about. All I can say is that it signs and symptoms were first seen in China around the 31st of December 2019. Most people have already lost their loved ones. I can't possibly say how many families and may be some are yet to loose more if nothing is done. It has been a great lose world wide since the outbreak of the virus. People have been denied their freedom because some are being suspected to be infected with the virus. It has always been the wish of most high school students to join a University of their dream to pursue different courses,this has never been any different from my dreams,going to one of the best universities and pursue a course in journalism. My wish finally came true when I received my calling letter to Technical University of Mombasa to pursue my dream course,Mass communication.
